Blocked Drains in
Sydney,
Gone for Good

A blocked drain has never once fixed itself. Plunging it, ignoring it, or quietly hoping it sorts itself out, none of that lasts. The water comes back, usually at the worst moment and usually grey. Whether it's a slow bathroom drain, a backed-up kitchen sink, or a commercial sewer problem, we find what is actually causing it and fix that, not just clear it for a week.

Your Drains Are Old.

We're Older.

The Inner West has some of Sydney’s oldest housing stock.
Terracotta drains, decades of build-up, pipes that haven’t
been touched
since the 1970s. We’ve been working in these

homes since before most plumbing
businesses existed. We
know what we’re
likely to find before we arrive.

How We Clear
a Blocked Drain

We start by finding the cause, not just shifting the symptom.
A plunger might clear a blockage for a week, but it comes
back because the reason it blocked is still there.

01

Camera inspection

We use a drain camera to see inside the pipe and locate the blockage.
02

Identify the cause

Tree roots, grease build-up, foreign objects or damaged pipework.
03

Clear the blockage

High-pressure jetting for grease and roots. Mechanical cutting where roots have taken hold.
04

Confirm the repair

Excavation only when a pipe has actually failed and needs replacing.

The Early Signs
of a
Blocked Drain

Catch these early and the fix is cheaper and
less disruptive
than waiting for a full backup
into the house.

Slow draining water

Water draining slower than it used to.

Gurgling sounds

A gurgling sound from the toilet or the sink.

Bad smells

A smell coming from the drain outside.

Water pooling

Water pooling around a floor waste.

Multiple fixtures backing up

Usually points to the main line rather than a single fixture.

Commercial Drains
and Grease Traps

Restaurants, pubs and commercial kitchens
deal with
grease at a scale a home drain
never sees.

Grease traps

Servicing and cleaning to keep systems compliant.

Trade waste lines

Preventative maintenance and blockage removal.

Scheduled cleaning

Planned jetting before problems occur.

Shared sewer lines

Support for strata and commercial buildings.

Stormwater systems

Maintenance and clearing for shared drainage infrastructure.
For strata and commercial buildings we handle shared stormwater
and sewer lines, and we document the work for the body corporate
or facility manager.

Tree Roots:
The Usual Suspect

In the Inner West, the most common reason a drain blocks is
tree roots finding their way into old terracotta pipe joints.

The roots grow toward the water, spread inside the pipe, and
catch everything that passes.

Cutting them clears the drain, but if the cracked pipe is left,
they grow back.

Where roots keep returning we show you what the camera
sees and talk through a longer-term fix, whether that is
relining the pipe or replacing the failed section, so you are not
paying for the same clear every year.

What Not to
Feed Your Drains

None of this is complicated, and it saves
the cost and mess of a backup.

Fats & oils

Keep fats and oils out of the kitchen sink.

Coffee grounds

Dispose of grounds in the bin, not the drain.

Hair

Use a strainer to catch hair in bathrooms.

Wet wipes

Only flush the three Ps. Never wet wipes.

Commercial grease

Maintain grease traps and schedule regular jetting.

We Leave the Site Clean

Clearing a blocked drain can be a messy job, but it does not have to
leave a mess behind.
We contain the work, clean up afterward, and

make sure the area is left tidy. You get the drain
running properly
and a site you do not
have to clean up after us.

Straight Answers, Fair Prices

We will tell you what is wrong, what it will cost, and what your options are, in plain terms, before any work starts. No jargon, no pressure, and no surprise on the invoice. It is how we would want to be treated, and it is how we have kept clients for decades.

It depends on the cause and where the blockage sits. A simple clear is straightforward. Tree roots or a collapsed pipe take more work. We tell you what we find and what it costs before we start.

Yes. For anything beyond a simple clear we camera the line to see the cause and confirm the drain runs clear afterwards.
